SANDCamp 2010 is an unconference which depends on your active participation. Please post your help offers in this thread.

We need:

Drupal Doctor table - Brenda is running her Drupal Doctor table, aka Drupal Genius Bar, like she did at DruplaCampLA and needs a number of volunteers. You will answer people's questions and troubleshoot their Drupal setup one-on-one. No need to be a ninja, but a patient, friendly attitude is a plus. Part-timers welcome.
BRENDA, CHRISTOPH, CHRIS CHARLTON, KARL, JOSH BRAUER

Technical Administrator - On the day of the Event, we need people with good technical skills that can help presenters hookup to AV systems and such.
Existing help offers: JOEL, MIKE STEWART - could use 1 or 2 more.

Refreshments - Coffee is the most important thing we need to make our camp run. We had some great Coffee last year and we should be able to pull that off again. We'll also have some snacks and possibly lunch for one day, so we'll need someone to be on top of that. KATHY

Event Staff - People to work at the check in table and help provide information during the actual event days. CHRIS CHARLTON

Cleanup Crew - Straighten tables and chairs, pick up trash and make the place presentable in general. We need people on both days.

That's all we need right now. The rest will happen at the camp. If you can find a trash bag/trash can at the end of the day, grab a few other bystanders and get started we'll be eternally grateful.

Volunteer Idea

Hey I was looking at many other Drupal sites since SandCamp and I think we should have a video section to help push the excitement of the next one and to leave a lasting impression for the following as well as a recorded feedback for the presenters.

Here are the categories I think we could use

  • Sessions - after sandcamp, both as a feed back to the presenters and for those who can't be in two sessions at once
  • Behind the scenes - many campers saw some hard word, but maybe didn't get to know the personalities of the volunteers, this would be a nice way to show the friendly faces that are HERE every month
  • Interviews
    • Vendor interviews could have an impact to help draw in other vendors and more money, they also get to showcase their product or services or a teaser to their session driving interest
    • Participants many great things were said this year, but not everyone heard them including some volunteers, so let's here what the participants want to say

Now obviously the issues for this will be
1) recording equipment
2) interview questions
3) pre and post productions
4) posting to the site
and I am sure many more, including a team of at least 2-5 to do this task as it could get very large. However I believe the benefits out shine the hard work AND this can be used to UPSCALE LADrupalCamp.
